Understanding the effects of Superhydrophobic flows on Drag Reduction

This research was carried out under the supervision of Dr Xili Duan (Associate Professor, Memorial University of NL). The objective of this research was to calculate the slip length at the superhydrophobic surface  using numerical methods. Ansys Fluent was used to run several calculation at different slip lengths for turbulent multiphase flow to determine a correlation that could better help us understand if superhydrophobic surfaces provided substantial drag reduction.
